Sirui has been a leading manufacturer of ball heads for many years. Their compact size, high load capacity, unique internal locking mechanism (capable of holding up to 44lb!) and unbeatable price, have made them extremely successful worldwide.

Sirui is always looking for ways to make a great product even greater. That’s why they introduced the new Sirui G-10X and G-20X ball heads at PMA.

While keeping all of the outstanding benefits of the previous G-Series models (separate locking knobs for panning and main locking, secondary safety lock on the quick release platform, special anodized abrasion resistant surface, etc.), Sirui has added some valuable features to the new ball heads.

The Sirui G-10X/G-20X now has two bubble levels to quickly help you align your camera system on your tripod. In addition to the bubble level on top of the Arca-compatible Quick Release platform…

there is also a very useful second bubble level on the locking knob of the platform. That means you can critically level your camera even if your camera is in a vertical position!G10X_4

For fast, precise panorama control, the degree scale on the base of the ball head is now completely visible. Moving in 15° or 20° increments couldn’t be easier!

And the included Sirui quick release plate has a place to attach your camera strap, without the need to remove the quick release plate from your camera. Very convenient!

    I have T-005X, I would like to see if a G-10X or G-20x can attach on T-005X?
    If G10x or G-20X on T-005x, can it stable support nikon D7100 + 70-200mm F2.8 + Flash?
I don’t feel good right now when putting D7100 + 70-300mm on Tt-005X with C-10. I feel like the tripod will throw my camera to the ground at any moment. Please advise.

    • Hi. The Sirui T-005 has a standard 3/8″ screw that allows you to attach any of the Sirui ball heads. The Sirui G-10X or 20X are larger ball heads than the C-10 and have higher load capacities. However, your bigger issue may be the lightness of the Sirui T-005. It is designed to hold up to 8.8 lbs., but is very light. Your 70-300mm lens probably does not have a foot coming from the lens, which means you are attaching the camera body to the ball head and have an unbalanced system (the downward torque is coming from the lens). Using a different ball head will not change this issue. You may want to get a longer Quick release plate that will let you position the camera and lens so that the weight is centered over the ball head and provides better stability. You could also add some weight under the tripod – that’s why the hook is there – to give a bit more stability. In the case of your 70-200 f2.8, the lens has a foot that attaches to the ball head and the outfit will be evenly balanced. We hope the above information is helpful. If you have more questions, please let us know. Thanks
